United American Land
United American Land LLC (UAL) is a family-owned real estate development, investment and management company based in New York City. Its principals, the brothers Albert, Jason and Jody Laboz, own and manage almost fifty properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
Among such projects are UAL’s sold-out residential enclave Soho Mews, designed by the architectural firm of Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, with lofts, penthouses and townhouses organized in two buildings facing West Broadway and Wooster Streets. Significant residential restorations abound, where they have restored, improved and reinvented historic buildings in Tribeca, Soho and the Flat Iron district via conversion from commercial use to luxury residences including Union Square’s Decker Building and the Arnold, Constable building on Mercer Street in Soho. Throughout downtown Manhattan, UAL has also created spaces for high profile retail enterprises, including Dolce & Gabbana, Puma, Domenico Vaca and others.
United American Land is also actively involved in downtown Brooklyn, where Albert Laboz serves as chairman of the Fulton Mall Association. At 505 Fulton Street, retailers H&M and TJ Maxx will anchor a major mixed-use historic conversion with over xx SF of retail and residential space, while a significant new retail hub in Brooklyn Heights is planned with UAL’s acquisition of three-floors of the Brooklyn Municipal Building on Joralemon Street, atop a major transit hub and next to Borough Hall.
